Our Mission
At AromaTherapy Shed we believe that when we reconnect with the natural world, it benefits us all. People and planet.
But we know it’s not always easy. Plastic packaging shuts us out. Mass production pushes us away. And big business peddles replicas of the real thing.
But it doesn’t have to be that way. We do things differently.
Every month, our founder and master blender Emma, hand-selects fresh essential oils to create bespoke, sustainable skincare that reflects and enhances the ever-changing scent, taste and mood of the seasons.
We start at the roots. We believe in sourcing ethical, sustainable ingredients for our products. And we believe in paying a fair price to the people who grow them. Because we know that their success shapes ours.
Our packaging is different too. We use refillable Miron glass bottles for our small-batch blends, and everything we sell is recyclable, refillable or reusable.
And finally, we make sure we give back. Every month we donate to like-minded charities who share our passion for the natural world. Afterall, the planet can only look after us, if we look after it.

Our story
Meet the family
The AromaTherapy Shed story starts with one remarkable woman. Our founder Emma Nash.
But actually, it’s the story of three women, over three generations. Jean, Emma and Iris.
Our past, present and future.
Emma’s mother Jean was passionate about the natural world. It was her knowledge and understanding of plant lore that inspired Emma’s lifelong love of botanicals and set her on a path to discover more. Working closely with growers and producers, she began to source, blend and import exotic, pure essential oils from all over the world. Today, Emma is one Britain’s foremost botanical perfumers and aromatherapy specialists.
But after 25 years working as an aromatherapy consultant for luxury skincare brands, and running the award-winning baby care brand, Tiddley Pom Natural Baby Spa, Emma was looking for a new challenge.
Which is where Iris, Emma’s daughter, comes in. Having inherited her family’s love for nature, Iris is determined that her generation will see the end of single-use plastics. So she asked her mum to create a natural skincare brand that was sustainable, from the ground up.
And AromaTherapy Shed was born.
Why it matters
The problem with plastics
Our planet has a problem with plastic. Every year we produce 400 million tonnes of it, and a shocking 40% of that is single use. And our beloved skincare products are among the worst culprits. According to Recycle Now, the average UK household uses 480 plastic bottles per year, but only recycles 270 of them. That means 44% are thrown into landfill, where they will take an average of 450 years to degrade.
Here at AromaTherapy Shed we are determined to be a small step towards a more sustainable future. Everything we do follows our mantra of reduce, refill, recycle and we promise you will never find a single-use plastic in our products.
